Could A Motorcycle Have A Roll Cage

FRIENDS OF THE UNIVERSE

When I was very young, in high school, I met -As many of us happens, people who never see again. Some escaped to new perspectives on other planes of reality, as the quiet girl who one day left to go to school, returning after missing a leg. Its quiet and slow pain mutilated teenager faded ... slowly ... until at last we slipped through the fingers, without any of the more than forty classmates could do nothing.

same thing happened with another friend, who for over a year and a half days before turning 40, just quietly, without fuss, without agony ... broke like glass.

But there are others, which one has not ever known where they were, where they went, who they are now. Yet they have left an indelible memory in our being.
is the case of Ricardo Cerrillo, great high school friend, whom I, like my uncle Pepe largely my love for "The Beatles". Ricardo was the person who lent me one by one musical treasures long play of 33 rpm. Then I borrowed a guitar, and she dreamed about being a star, I learned the first chords and I was excited to hear the rough notes which produced the instrument in my hands. Together we sang, hummed, whistled, watercress and listen to the unforgettable songs of tiredness John, Paul, George and Ringo. Thanks to that is that I learned English so far I can more or less articulate.

But rock and roll apart, one of the memories to my heart, is Ricardo declaiming, every time you get small or large festivals and school parties. Spouting something that thrilled me deeply, despite the seemingly corny or glib structure showing the surface of his poetry.
Today, twenty years later I began to remember ... were gradually coming to my mind scattered pieces of those words that so moved me and began thus:
"On a distant planet in a bizarre solar system, living a strange creature that calls itself "homo sapiens"

looked with emotion from the first sentence on the internet and finally found the entire poem. This is really a "song-recitation" very typical of the 70. It was ruled as winner in the OTI festival in Mexico, because it was not clear if it was just a song, a poem (by which I had nothing to do in the show), or both.
Felipe Gil The author is well known in Mexico for his victories in the voice of Gualberto Castro, who played superbly two of their songs:
"The Song of Man" and "Happiness" , issues with which rose twice as the absolute winner in that contest of OTI.

Well, now I remembered that it was a bit "cheesy" or "mellow" as to how the text itself (it is more noticeable in one's interpretation by Felipe Gil, vocals), however, it is worth remembering the context, the modes and forms used then. Robbing prejudices and listen with an open heart, we can discover the wonder and essence of the small and beautiful statement of principles to make Gil in "Friends of the Universe"

Now I share it, in a version of Arturo Benavides, who was great reciter of the popular and emotional in Mexico, also during the 70's. I chose it, because I think that best depicts the essence of the subject, but is still steeped in a drama a tad artificial.

Of course, I think the best version will always be for me of that good-looking boy, who, without background music, powerful voice and a drop of sweat dripping presented by his temple in front of the class of teens moved silently and listened.

Cerrillo Thanks Ricardo Espinoza forever!
