"ISSUE WALICHU"
From the playful to the great theme of cultural diversity
The Cave Hands is an archaeological site featuring historical paintings, is located in the Pinturas River deep ravine in western Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. In 1999 UNESCO declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
In this fiction, two students of archeology, Florencio and Twig, moved to La Cueva with the aim of investigating the ancient paintings found in the young students living paredes.Los generating a learning adventure in which, when crossed with unexpected and special characters instead, delve into issues of significant value, like friendship and respect for other cultures. Actors, puppets, dolls, plus a colorful and original music to complement this production to life that amalgam between its text quality and plasticity.
The functions will be held on September 1, 2009, both in PD No. 8 de Mar de Ajo North, as in PD No. 12 Barrio Rocco (The Silvio), including also the students of the Gardens Birth of the respective districts.

"The work is motivated by a question: Why learn? Virtually all the work takes place within the Cave of the Hands, when two young explorers, Florencio (Emilio) and Twig (Damasita) come in search of learning. In this sense Damasita Gonzalez Riesco, who plays "Twig" and specializes in puppets, he says that "the choice of the Cueva de las Manos is because I studied Art History at the Faculty of Fine Arts. When the idea 12 years ago, I learn about Cave of the Hands. I had a teacher who told us that different researchers spoke of these paintings simply as geometric patterns and so did dozens of caves in Latin America, especially Mexico. And the truth is that we did a lot of anger, because there are other authors like working Casamiquela going to the place and talking to people, rather than come and do a reading ethnocentric, seeking what is called systemic archeology, which seeks out and investigates the site's history, myths and legends. Along with that also use scientific tools such as carbon 14, and together, take a different approach. That cave alone, isolated, at that point, surrounded by a beautiful landscape, was there for a reason, and the same was that it was a place of power, where together with the ancestors, shamans invoking the forces so that the hunters were successful in their hunts. They were places of ritual. The geometric simplification we felt we had to change. It seemed an interesting subject. "Damasita says that" after legends we had to do with the subject. We wanted to turn the little flame that boys are able to discover. We needed a story that not only words, not the kids bored. Then the story is found in the myth of El Walichu. Then join with the story of two young archaeologists, Florencio and Twig, went to Patagonia to search for and there arose the third conflict, which is the love of knowledge. So that's where the question arises: What to know? "Somehow there is centered around the knot and create a conflict between the two characters in the play.
